Little victories

Distance: 7km
Duration: 36:40

A child was climbing a tree, his watchful father about a metre and a half below. The boy stumbled as he reached for his next hand hold. It appeared that the risk was too great. The father then offered two very specific options, one of which the boy took advantage of. Having accomplished his feat, the beaming smile said it all.

As I approached the crest of a small rise in the path, a father and his two daughters were coming up the other side. The youngest daughter arrived at the top first. It had been a significant effort. The tone of the praise that flowed immediately from the father's mouth was priceless.
"You just rode the top of the hill."
Mission accomplished.
